I absolutely love this movie theater! It's my very favorite out of all the ones in San Francisco, so I frankly don't understand the poor reviews. You can see from the pictures that the architecture is superb. Art deco era, maybe? Oh I'm not educated with design, I just like what I see. I also enjoy the theater seating, so I'm not looking right smack in front of the head of another patron.
Great seating and surround sound. You don't have to strain you neck to see over people and the seats are arranged in hill formation where it's comfortable no-strain on your neck to view the screen. If you go watch any action flick especially, you're absolutely bound to get your money's worth. Oh yes, have I mentioned it's only a block away from my house? Super convenient.
Great theater! No loud kids or unsavory types. That's rare for a clean theater that shows more than artsy movies. A+++ My favorite theater ever.
They should hire more African Americans for concessions etc.,A.A 's. account for a substantial number their moviegoers.
The Theatre is very nice,clean, and has a good staff. However they need more staff on the Ticket lines;most of the time there is a long line of people waiting to buy tickets, and only 1 staff member on the booth. This is happening too often. AMC Downtown (metreon) has more faster service on this aspect !
