  • Vaska is a great theater for the entire family. The cost won't kill you like the newer ones do. Even the refreshments are reasonably priced. The only down side is that it smell, sometimes like mold. And many of the chairs are broke. Luckily it isn't as crowed so you can move to another seat. I suggest bringing a seat cover because the seats feel dirty too.

  • This movie theater is like older rural theaters were. When I was a child we had a theater like this in the little town I was living. Of course you can't ask for the HD blast at modern theaters like Dickinson (Mall), or Carmike and a surround sound your ears keep ringing. Remember that you only pay 3 Dollars for an adult and 2 Dollars for a child, which is way beyond even your active duty entry fees. If you don't mind waiting and extra two or three weeks after the movie came out in theaters originally and you can't wait until it is out on DVD, then pack up your family and take a ride to Vaska. I promise ya'll that the atmosphere not only wakes memories of how movie theaters used to be but also reminds you how important family time in the movies was. Unfortunately more often seats are to be found empty when I look around and I am wondering how long the owners can keep it going. Please help out and keep at least my memories awake by supporting a great theater I might even hand you my popcorn to thank you ... ahhh no ... because after all the prices there for drinks and popcorn are not pulling the last dollar out of your pocket and you can afford it easy. I wanted to give six stars and there are only five ... well I guess I see you tonight at Vaska ...

  • This is a great place for the whole family depending on the movie. I have lived here my entire life and can remember the movie Earthquake in sensoround and The Urban Cowboy and Grease. It was always the best movie for the money. The best value for the money!!

  • We're thankful for the management at the Vaska. We appreciate that they keep this "retro" theater open and clean and affordable for all. The ticket-takers and concession help are always polite and what's more, we think the chairs are quite comfortable! The price certainly is! We, too, hope they never close!

  • My husband and I just moved here and were looking for a good theater to go to and we have found it! We got popcorn and pop for as much as you would pay for one ticket at another theater. Talk about going back in time. Sure the seats could be more comfortable but for the price its worth putting up with some inconveniences. GREAT theater overall!
