  • Love The Cinema! Gives this little part of the city a "hometown" feel. The best part (besides the price) is that Managment does a great job of pairing up the double features; if one interests you, the other probably will as well. Great bang for a little buck.

  • This is a community treasure. I don't look to see what's playing. Me and the lady just go because the movies are always good.

  • The Cinema Theatre is excellent for viewing movies. If you have very young children, the `viewing´room upstairs is great because you don´t have to worry about them disturbing other patrons and they can play to their hearts content while you watch a full screen movie. The staff is wonderful and very friendly and the prices at the concession stand are very reasonable compared to other theatres. You can also get refills on drinks and popcorn for 75 cents! There are two evening movies (most times) and the first one starts at 7:00 (no advertising) then usually between the first and second movie are trailers for upcoming movies - great time to get your refills on popcorn and drinks or sit and talk with your neighbor. The theatre has been a mainstay in the community for many years and is the traditional older theatre. Within recent years, new seats have been added, floors painted, floors retiled, the concession area expanded and the outside somewhat refurbished with the actual ¨Cinema¨lights working. The theatre has a project to expand by adding another speciality room and has started the process. There is a local group that helps with projects on the theater (I think that it still exists and it is called ¨Friends of the Cinema). I have been going to the Cinema for years and because of the staff and movies and concessions, it is most often the only theatre that I attend. Please be aware, that as in any theatre, one should not carry on conversations or talk during the movie as it is distracting to other patrons. Last but not least, the resident cat enjoys patrons but will generally not bother them much. Generally a patron will have the cat on their lap during the movie or a few have been known to bring little blankets so the cat has a place to nap during the movie. As of this writing, her name is Princess. GO GO GO to the movies at the Cinema!!!! (PS I have no connection with the theatre except that I go almost every week.)
