  • Ticket prices are high and the concessions are expensive. the convience of localty is nice and the fact you have many movies to choose from is a plus.

  • The ticket prices, yes, are high, but they are not set by Carmike. All proceeds go back to the movie. NOT to Carmike. The ONLY profit Carmike makes is from its concession stand; the reason for the prices being so high. So if you want a movie theatre in your town.. you are going to have to buy snacks and such. If you dont want to.. dont go, but that will only result in a closed movie theatre. As for the cleaning, Ive never seen it THAT bad in there, but, how are they suppose to hire a cleaning or maintenance crew when all their profits are getting spent at Walmart on THOSE snacks? For what it is, I think Carmike is a great place to go see a movie.

  • Carmike Cinema in Olean needs: 1: A really good cleaning. Floors in theatre are dirty and some of the seats and cup holders are broken 2: Lower their concession prices. Just outrageous and given the economy...what are they thinking? (greed!) 3. Stop the30 to 40 minutes in ads and previews before the film. I realize that alot of theatres are doing this but PLEASE! In order to make sure you get a ticket to a popular show, you have to be there early. Being there early means being a captive (and unhappy) audience while they push autos, coco-cola and tv shows!! If you want to go to the movies....you are going to the cinema closest to you. That could be Carmike. Expensive, aging and a little grungy.
