  • Sorry to say but this place is pretty weak. The place is not the cleanest but I can overlook that. The one thing that I can not overlook is that fact that I went to see Monsters versus Aliens with my child and found out that this theater does NOT show it in 3D because their projectors are so old that it does NOT have the capacity to show it in 3D. They do not tell you this when you buy the tickets. They also make sure that nobody is around after the movie to complain to. Would never go there again. Why would we? Pay the same price as a big theater to go to a dirty cheap place?

  • I had the opportunity to go several times to the movie theater in Hawthorne. Its a small, "out of date" looking theater, but what can you expect ...its in the middle of a small community. This theater seems to attract a mature crowd, however you wont find many movies playing there, that would attract the young adults crowd. The price of the tickets seem to be fair....but beware when buying gift certificates. I had purchase two gift certificates and they looked like they have been photocopied coupons. I am not sure how authentic they are, but buy at your own risks. Also make sure that you count the number of certificates you get, the cashier sold me one that was missing a $2 movie buck. Overall, this place is ok. If you want to take your date out to a discrete location where you might not run into someone you know...then this is the place to go.

  • If you like a theatre with old time funk attraction, this is the one in Bergen County. Highway multiplexis have their excitement, but being with a home town, family based crowd is often a huge part of my movie fun. No digital. Sound is average. But prices are better and atmosphere is good.
