My wife and I used to live in the Okemos/Lansing area for quite some time. For the past 7 years we've been in Ann Arbor......Man o man do I miss this theater. It was always clean, had nice big screens, and most of all the prices are still so cheap. Even paying a 1.00$ service charge online to order tickes is not bad in the long run. We regularly pay 8-10$ a ticket to see a new release, here in AA. Some times I really miss the old days :)
Sometimes it's nice going to the movies w/o the crowd and noisy kids. I like the fact that I can walk to the mall or drive to the mall w/o leaving the parking lot after my movie. The prices are pretty much the same as any other theater in Lansing. I enjoy watching movies at the AMC Meridian Mall 6.
The movie theather is pretty decent, I love the low prices for the movie tickets. Being that I go to Michigan State its always nice to get away and head right down to Meridan Mall and spend a few bucks to see a cool, new movie. The food is pretty high.
Theres a big screen, cushey seats, popcorn and candy along with beverages. And, they show the 6 big movies at the time... what else could you ask for?
They've really let the place go down. This seems to be the pattern with a lot of theatres. Make it nice to pull in the crowds, but then as the urban sprawl moves away, keep putting money into building new places instead of doing maintenance or heavy cleaning.
