  • Great way to watch a movie, but a bit shabby all around. I think that the lack of competition has allowed for the theater to be poorly run w/o suffering customer backlash. While it is nice to have food and drinks while watching the movie, or right before the movie in the dining area, and the free popcorn and soda are major plusses, as are the cozy theatre seats, the staff is not much more than your run of the mill theatre crew dressed up a bit more, the diner isn't very attractive, and the food is poor, diner like, and overpriced. This place was a great place to take a date about 8 years ago, but nothing, nothing, has improved there since then, and, in fact, has only become shabby all around. (They don't do 3D and the screen isn't any larger than the screens in the cinema right next door.) Sorry, but New England can do better than this.

  • Worth every cent. A comfortable seat with no lines is why airlines charge 5X for first class over coach. This isn't even 2X, and the free popcorn and soda make up for the bit extra. Tough to go back to a regular theatre after visiting here.

  • although the $19.00 ticket price may be intimidating it is worth every dollar. This is not your average theater. You are given the option to have food(real food not stale popcorn) and alcoholic beverages while seated at a private table. Dinner and a movie is exactly what you get, great for a date, great for a family outing, great all around. So if you want some privacy, a meal, and a movie, this is the place to go.

  • The Premium is the best. It's one of my only reprieves as a mother of 4 where I can escape and always know I'll enjoy myself and won't be bugged by kids! I do wish they had more vegetarian and vegan fare on the menu...a salad and fries isn't much to write home about. But the Grey Goose and Smirnoff almost make up for that. Also, the popcorn tastes rather old.

  • Does the person who wrote the review on 7/17 understand why the price of a ticket at the Premium Cinema is $19? And by the way, the economy is not in dire shape because I am willing to pay $19 for a movie ticket. Relax, gramps, you're going to give yourself a coronary. I'll bet you walked uphill both ways during a blizzard to get to those $1 movies, didn't you? This is not your everyday multiplex. The Premium is well worth the price. Seating, which is limited, is reserved (and the theater admits only those 21 years of age and older). The seats themselves are large and comfortable. Each seat features a pull-out tray table where you can place your free unlimited popcorn and soft drinks. If you're in the mood for a full meal, you can eat at their on-site restaurant or the staff will bring your meal to your theater seat if you prefer (just make sure you arrive early enough to get set up before the movie starts). There's also a full bar, and you can bring your drinks into the theater as well. How can you beat that? For $9 more than the multiplex next door, you walk into the theater and are ushered to your reserved seats - no hunting around for two seats together. Free popcorn and sodas are provided. You watch the movie in really comfortable, roomy seats. And there's booze. And no kids. I rarely go to the multiplex anymore, and I'm really excited that a premium cinema (Showcase De Lux) is being built in Dedham, which is closer to where I live.
