Ignore the bad reviews and give this theater a try. What's best about it? It's often empty. It's like having your own massive TV. If you, like me, find that the worst part of going to the movies is the people eating popcorn in your ear, guys using the theater as a place to play the "man game" by not only using the armrest, but sticking their elbows in your space. If what you really hate about going to the movies is all the people... then you will absolutely love this place.
In addition to the dirt and high price, the air conditioning is designed for about 25% occupancy. In the summer, an auditorium with a really popular movie is like a swamp. I live within a mile of this theater, but have gone more movies in Olathe than here for the last four years.
This theater is HORRIBLE!!! What is the deal Lawrence?!?!?! This is a COLLEGE TOWN! We have the money for a new awesome theatre, think of how many people would GO! DO NOT waste your money!!! Go to Kansas city or Legends!
This theater is dirty and cramped. Although we normally prefer to make purchases in Lawrence, we now drive to Phoenix Adlab Theatres at the Legends...well worth the 25 minute drive.
If you want people to stay in town and spend their $ in Lawrence, give your customers a little something! The seats are cramped, the theatre is old. Don't waste your money. This is the one time I would say go to KC or take a short drive to the theatre at the Legends.
