  • Not a review, really, but just a comment. I grew up in Jacksonville in the 50's and 60's and spent every Saturday afternoon at the San Marco theatre. It's is great to know that a beloved memory of growing up is doing well and still appreciated.

  • Unique relic of a simpler time. Great food, good prices. Can bring the kids. Great beer, wine or even milkshakes. Sit down and enjoy the show.

  • Nice place, good menu and bar. Lots of homosexual action, if you know what I mean...

  • Classic 1930's style theater. No mega-screens or surround sound speakers, just a standard movie experience on a traditional stage screen. Seating is broken up by small tables every third or fourth spot. The crowd tends to be mostly professional couples and families. The new releases can draw a big crowd so get there early! Midnight showings of independent movies and foreign films is a nice touch. The concession stand with bar food and beer/wine is reasonable by movie theater standards. There is also plenty to do in the local area after the movie! This is a nice break from the mega-cinaplexes of today.

  • I love this theatre for so many reasons. The nostalgia of it can take anyone back to a simpler time. From time to time they show independent films that we in Jacksonville would not be able to see without this theatre and their independent flair. The concession stand is located inside the theatre but remains amazingly quiet. They serve your regular movie fare for far less than you pay at a large theatre plus they have pizza, quesadillas, sandwiches, beer and wine. You never go wrong choosing this theatre.
