This place has the cheapest tickets! Tickets are $7 (adults) & $5 for seniors, military, kids & students. Also, all movies starting before 5pm (matinees) are $5. Parkside charges $9 (adults), $6.50 (kids/seniors), $7.50 (students [Sun-Thurs only]) & matinees are $7 (cutoff is before 3pm). Baywalk: $9 (adult), $6.50 (kids) with $7 matinees (cutoff before 4pm). Two adults & two kids going to a matinee would cost $20 at the Beach Theatre (BT) & $27 at the other two theatres. Going to full priced movies at each would be $24 at the BT & $31 at the other theatres. They have free parking & free kids movies every Saturday at 10am. They're independent, so they pick their own movies and events. They've had live bands play, a comedian show, "The TIngler" with Percepto! (a way to get the audience involved in the movie), a James Bond weekend where local girls volunteered to be 'Bond Girls' serving martinis and all kinds of other events. They've played movies by request, too. They have wine and beer (at least 25 brands) there, too, so it really is an awesome place!
The Beach Theatre is a great classic movie-going experience. Please enjoy it.....
I'm almost afraid to let other people know what a great place The Beach Theatre is. The location, staff and great popcorn, not to mention that you can enjoy a beverage while watching first run movies, makes this such a jewel. The close association it has with WMNF is also a huge plus, bringing out a fun mix of people for their events.
The theater, the films offered, and the GREAT staff make this a wonderful place to experience films as they were, and still are, meant to be experienced. And as a bonus, they have the best popcorn around!
