I'm only 12. I go to this theater once in a while, but i would recommend waiting 90 days and going to the Carmike 10 theater in Hoover.
The annoying teenagers are the problem at this theatre.
I have gone to the Carmike Summit 16 and had no problems at all. I am a middle-aged Professional woman and I brought my 21, 18 and seven year-old out to the movies to see Transformers one evening and we enjoyed it. Of course, there was maybe one cell phone that went off accidently and a crying baby but some of these things are apart of life and we need not be so overly sensitive. By the way, these issues were resolved by the movie-goers themselves.
I agree with the user who said "the wrong kind of customers" are there. I am not sure what they meant, however, I have experienced thugs, thug-ettes, people talking on their cell phones during the movie, talking to one another during the movie, people with foul body odor (on many occasions), throwing stuff, yelling at the movie like it is a real person. If I want that kind of entertainment, I'd go to a theater in "the hood."
What does "the wrong kind of customers" even mean? I go to school near the Summit, so I'm there a lot. There's a lot of college kids and (depending on the time of day) highschoolers as well, so there's some interesting characters, for sure. But they have every right to be there, and I've never been bothered by it.
