Also of note was the Best Actress nomination for 13-year-old Keisha Castle-Hughes, who became the youngest person ever nominated for Best Actress. Of course, that record was broken this year by 9-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis, who was nominated for her mesmerizing work in “Beasts of the Southern Wild” (2012).
