You really wanna take love advice from Hollyweird?!?!?!? That's absolutely one of the most asinine things I've seen so far today....To begin with...I know that this might be a shock but movies are not real life!!!! Follow your own feelings, love who you want to love, express it how you want to express it. If it doesn’t work out then it most likely wasn’t meant to be. If you truly love someone your heart will write the only script you should follow.

Movies make you forget about what real life is, it's an escape from reality

Yeah, you have freedom. It is good because you can hang out with your friends, do whatever.. But, at what point does freedom become loneliness. :( As much as I like my freedom, my divorce destroyed my soul and bank account.

While this is a great list of movies.. sadly movies like these do more harm than good. They make more problems in relationships than advice. Women want their romantic prince charming.. and men want their pornografic insatiable #$%$. But in reality there are no romantic Prince Charming unless you yourself are the dropdead gorgeous and soulfuly beautiful princess... you arn't...and there are no insatiable sluts, unless you are paying for it.Now there are exceptions to everything.. some women do get to meet and keep their princes, some men get to meet and keep their nymphos...but much like they say in the movie He;s Just Not That Into You... those people are the exception.. we are the rule.and before any guy out there tries to get all self-rightous and make the claim that men arn't all about getting laid... you're not fooling anyone.. and remember that self control makes all the difference. Some of us guys can just keep it in our pants and in our minds... others can't. Thats the only real difference between a "real man" and a cheater :)

Hollywood and reality have nothing in common. What can you learn from people who spend their lives being people they are not?

Thanks anyway, but I will stick with my tried and true methods...honesty, kindness, and diamonds (lots of diamonds)

DON'T take advice from works of fiction...or apparently Yahoo.

So many pessimistic outlooks in these comments.. Why even click if you know you have such a dark or "glass half-empty" look on something that's so light and not that serious? It's a cute article, guys -- give it a rest.

Why go to school?.....stay at home and watch movies or go to the movies......let Hollywood teach us all the skills we need...........murder, arson, bombing, guns, cheating and death to all.......Hollywood has all the skills we need!!!!!!!!......or perhaps Hollywood is nothing more than fluff and b/s.......

love lessons are learned from your heart, not the fantasy crap that emerges from hollywood

You were right the first time - "idealized versions of real life". They're movies, MAKE BELIEVE!! Where does Yahoo find it's writers, Middle School??
  • Mountain Man  •  3 months ago
There goes Yahoo giving out terrible advice as usual.
  • Good2BAlive  •  3 months ago
no surprise here. most movies last as long if not longer than a typical hollywood marriage.

"Some people claim that romantic comedies present an idealized version of love that has no bearing on the real world." I'm one of those people. Here's how it works: Romantic comedy style male behavior in romantic comedies = Romantic. Romantic comedy style male behavior in real life = sexual harassment charges and subsequent restraining order.
