Sundance. 300 movies...only 1 coming to a theatre near you...maybe. I like Indy films. Not all of em, but some either push acceptable limits, try a plotline maybe hasn't been beaten to death. Good and bad in both mainstream and Independent. Take Titanic, the Cameron one was like the 6th Titanic movie i am aware of. Boat sinks, almost everyone dies, story aint gonna change. Don't care if it's shinier.

I forgot to mention "Circumstance," Sundance 2011's audience winner. You can rent/buy it on DVD now. I was hoping it would be nominated for a foreign language Oscar, but it didn't make the list the academy just released. It deserved to be there.

LOVED "Winter's Bone," especially Dale Dickey's Indie Spirit winning supporting female performance.

The first two Saws were awesome, but then it started becoming more about the blood and gore instead of the actual story.

Blair Witch was the worst movie I have ever seen. That was the only time I have asked for my money back. They actually gave us two free passes valid for matinee. Still felt ripped off.

I don't know what kind of drugs they are using at that film festival, but I wasted two hours of my life watching Winters Bone. Right up there with the Wicker Man.

Winters Bone, was one of the worst films I have ever seen! a low budget film, with no plot, about backwoods people on drugs, corny.slow, gruesome butcher of a poor squirrel! I saw it at a screening, and the producer was so cheap she used second hand clothes, and used locals, who probably made less than $40 a day! exploition anyone?

Napoleon Dynamite was hilarious in the wierdest sort of way. What ever happened to a very strange and creepy movie entitled "May"? The main character was a misfit, obssesive girl with a secret, extremely violent aspect to her personality who develops a crush on a guy she meets by chance on her lunch hour, from the veterinarian's office where she works. I caught it one time on TV and never saw or heard of it again.

What about Ryan Gosling? He was in 'The Believer' from 2001....he was a neo-nazi self hating Jew. That was his first serious role, and 'The Believer' wasn't a mainstream movie

Clerks and Reservoir Dogs were the only two movies on this list worth seeing.
