'Star Wars' spin‐off movies: 5 characters who should get one

It's been quite the week for "Star Wars" news. First we got wind of a stand-alone movie starring Yoda, which was soon followed by Disney head honcho Bob Iger himself confirming that there are indeed character-based "Star Wars" films in the works that are separate from the new trilogy. Today we heard that two of those films may be one focusing on Han Solo and another on everyone's favorite bounty hunter, Boba Fett. None of these possibilities have been confirmed, which means the sky's the limit for now when it comes to a wish list. Here are the five "Star Wars" characters we'd like to see get their own spin-off movie.

5. Yoda

Wonderful, this would be. A Yoda movie would finally give someone the excuse to come up with the legendary Jedi Master's species and home planet, which remain mysteries even in the over-‐convoluted and over-‐written archives of Wookieepedia. We'd see him train as a Youngling with the snake-‐like N'Kata Del Gormo and join the Jedi Order, rising in the ranks of the Jedi High Council and becoming its Grand Master. We'd see him train as a Youngling with the snake-‐like N'Kata Del Gormo and join the Jedi Order, rising in the ranks of the Jedi High Council and becoming its Grand Master. We'd get to see him kick ass with a lightsaber, share his poignant philosophies with countless generations of trainees and maybe even go crazy during his years of exile on Dagobah, waiting for the arrival of the son of Anakin Skywalker, his final student. As long as Frank Oz provides his distinctive oft-‐ imitated voice, we'll be the first in line. less
