"Snitch" opened last week at No. 2. with a so-so box office take of $13 million; hot on its heels comes "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" (March 29), in which Johnson plays Roadblock, the heavy machinegunner who just wants to be a cook (if the writers are indeed following the character's '80s-era file card). Johnson will then appear in his very first Michael Bay extravaganza, "Pain & Gain," opening April 26, after which he'll reprise his role as Agent Luke Hobbs, the man who almost kicked Vin Diesel's ass, in "Fast & Furious 6" (May 24). Is this guy finally set to become the movie star that Hollywood's been trying to make him be since "The Mummy Returns" (2001)?
