While her role as a kidnapping victim -- and the shot at redemption for a 911 operator haunted by a death she was kind of responsible for -- probably won't put Breslin's star too much on the rise, it does serve as a sufficient prelude to bigger and better things to come, such as turns in "August: Osage County," "Haunter," "Ender's Game," "Final Girl" and the title role in "Virgin Mary."
