A few days after the audition, director Michael Bay called her up and gave her the news. "Yeah, you're the girl," she recalled him saying. "Transformers" wasn't the first time Huntington-Whiteley worked with Bay. They first met on the shoot for the 2009 Victoria's Secret Christmas commercial, where he reportedly dumped her in the middle of the desert, wearing nothing but high heels, lingerie, and a cape, and had her walk, runway-style, a half-mile back to the set.
