Theron's ex-cheerleader from hell Mavis Gary does have a final epiphany about her bad behavior -- and, in a way that's currently out of vogue -- still resists changing. What made the chat all the more interesting was that beside Reitman sat iconic "Taxi Driver" writer Paul Schrader. It turns out that Schrader's wife Mary Beth Hurt has a supporting role in Reitman’s film. It's a good thing his classic Robert DeNiro-Jodi Foster movie ("You talking to me?") made Reitman's list!
