SHOW THUMBNAILS

Photo by Summit Entertainment, Everett CollectionEdward Cullen is one awesome vampire. He's supernaturally strong, can read minds, and is surprisingly handsome for a 107 year old; even the most sensible high school lass would swoon once she saw him glitter in sunlight. With millions of teenage girls lining up to see Edward on the silver screen in "Twilight" this weekend, we compiled a list of the 10 1/2 most awesome vampires in movies.

  • What about Jonathan Frid's character Barnabas Collins. The most popular vampire in television history. As well as still the most widely known vampire of the last 40 years.

  • Barnabas Collins, the vampire of Dark Shadows, is the ultimate vampire and it's a shame he wasn't on the list. He was first vampire to struggle with his curse. He's still the one of the most talked about for this reason. He'll always be number one in my book.
