5. He became an adult.
Technically. On March 4, 2012, Justin Bieber turned 18 years old. And on June 28, 2012, he graduated from high school. He also released his third studio album "Believe," with a darker, more grown-up sound. We might not describe him as a "swaggy adult," but Bieber passed some major rites of passage towards adulthood in 2012.
