I found it a Good film, not a Great film, still had some holes in it, but far from boring! A must
see classic and one of the most unique monsters in cinema history(courtesy of a very quirky
real life artist, H.R. Giger! Genious!) Can't wait to see the upcoming prequel!

Still the best in the series and one of the scariest movies I have ever seen.

I can NEVER see one of the MOST iconic scenes in this film - When John Hurt starts to choke while eating and "something" happens to him - and NOT remember Mel Brook's parody of that scene in SpaceBalls... Thanks alot Mel Brooks :P

I was nine years old, when this movie debuted. I talked my dad into taking me to see it, I had nightmares for a week. This is truly one of the scariest films ever. The fact that you only catch a glimpse of the Alien, from time to time, only heightens the suspense and terror. By do it this way, your mind creates the terror and nothing is more frightening than what our minds choose to create.

This is Ridley Scott's masterpiece, in my opinion. It was brilliant, the way he used the confined spaces of the ship to create a claustrophobic feeling throughout the film. I believe the only way the movie could have been more terrifying is, if it would have been shot in black and white.

This film definitely deserves a spot on this list.

The Alien is so smart it uses the cat for bait.
