Biography
Born in Puerto Rico but raised in Manhattan, Calderon got his start onstage after a stint in the Army. His off-Broadway shows have included "Short Eyes", "The Trial of Sgt. Deluca", "Richard III", and "First Breeze of Summer". He appeared with Robert De Niro off- and on Broadway in "Cuba and His Teddy Bear" in 1986, and earned critical attention for two productions at NYC's The Public Theatre: the one-act boxing drama "Blade to the Heat" …
