A low-key, likable actor, Patrick Fugit seemingly came out of nowhere to play Cameron Crowe's alter ego in the critically acclaimed and much loved valentine to rock-n-roll, "Almost Famous" (2000). As the wide-eyed, high school reporter at the center of the film's action, Fugit earned his share of accolades and attention.
