Though initially thwarted in his desire to become a cast member of the legendary comedy sketch show "Saturday Night Live" (NBC, 1975- ), Adam McKay rose to become one of the most successful voices in modern comedy. After training at Chicago's seminal Second City Theatre, McKay auditioned for "SNL" and was rejected as a performer, though accepted as a writer the following year.
