Watch: Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick Sing in ‘Into the Woods’ Featurette

Disney has released an extended featurette for “Into the Woods” that not only offers a new look at the iconic characters, but a sneak preview of the iconic music.

Meryl Streep’s Witch and Anna Kendrick’s Cinderella sing in the video, which also includes interviews with director Rob Marshall and stars Streep, Johnny Depp, who plays The Wolf, and Emily Blunt, who’s The Baker’s Wife.

“It’s not just a musical, it’s not just a comedy, it’s not just a drama,” Marshall says. “It’s all of those things interwoven.”

Marshall also praises composer Stephen Sondheim (“the greatest living composer we have”), who wrote the music and lyrics for the 1987 dark musical reimagining of classic fairy tales.

The film hits theaters on Christmas Day, and also stars Chris Pine, James Corden, Tracey Ullman, and Christine Baranski.
