Walt Disney film topper resigns

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Group president Mark Zoradi has resigned.

Disney announced the move Monday and said the resignation would take effect immediately. Zoradi was a 29-year Disney vet.

His departure follows the ouster of Dick Cook as film studio chairman. Cook was replaced by then-Disney Channel topper Rick Ross, who lauded Zoradi as a "respected leader."
