Toronto: Kristin Scott Thomas joins 'My Old Lady'; Cohen Media Group acquires North American rights

By Josh Dickey LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Cohen Media Group has acquired all North American rights to the film adaptation of Israel Horovitz's stage dramedy "My Old Lady,"and BBC Films has come on to co-finance, the New York-based specialty distributor announced Friday out of Toronto. Cohen also announced the addition of Kristin Scott Thomas to the caste, joining Maggie Smith and Kevin Kline. The actor leads the story of a man waiting for an elderly Parisian woman to die so he can sell the apartment he inherited. Thomas will play the woman's daughter. The deal was negotiated by Cohen Media Group EVP Gary Rubin, and John Sloss and Steven Farneth of Cinetic Media.
