Teen Mom's Kailyn Lowry Accuses Ex Jo Rivera of Exposing Her to an STD

Teen Mom's Kailyn Lowry shocked fans when she cheated on her then-boyfriend Jordan Wenner with ex Jo Rivera earlier this season, and on Tuesday's reunion show, she dropped another bombshell when accusing Rivera of exposing her to a sexually transmitted disease.

    PHOTOS: Celebrity health scares

Revealing to reunion host Dr. Drew Pinsky that her one-night stand with Rivera -- where they had sex in the shower -- was unprotected, Lowry, 19, confirmed she got tested for an STD after their encounter.

"Wait, did you just blame me for giving you STDs?" Rivera asked Lowry, the mom of his two-year-old son, Isaac.

VIDEO: Kailyn flirts with Jo before their one-night stand

Argued Lowry defensively: "I mean, you told me you were with six people, and I specifically went and got tested because I cheated on Jordan with you."

Despite the aftermath of her one-night-stand and split from Wenner, Lowry told Pinsky she still values her relationship with both men. "I just think you guys are key people in my life, and I need both of you right now," she said, apologizing to them both, arguing that she "took Jo's childhood away" and "took advantage of Jordan."

    PHOTOS: Friendly celeb exes

Airing her latest dirty laundry seems to have done the teen mom good, as she took to Twitter to reveal she's moved on from her transgression.

"I won't let anything in my past effect my future in a negative way," she said after Tuesday's episode aired. "I learn from all my mistakes."

I know this sounds ridiculous, but I thought that Kaitlyn seemed like she was more sensible than the other "characters", she was going to school and had a job. Obviously, I was wrong.

I totally watched this reunion. I feel so bad for the children of these teen moms. None of them really have it together.

      *Kailyn can't be trusted
*Leah cheats on her husband multiple times
*Jenelle is probably mentally ill and is a drug addict
*Chelsea has incredibly low self esteem

Americans will put anything on TV these days! Way to set an example! Hey! Lets take teenagers that get knocked up at a very young age and try and make it look cool! Stuuuupid!! How about make a show about pregnant tweens and make it serious and have an important message like SAFE SEX and the dangers of having unprotected sex!! I wonder how many teens are trying to get knocked up so they can have their own show? Shame on you amercan media for promoting such irresponsible behaviour!!

I agree. This teen mom show is horrible. I'll never let my daughter watch this crap. They call it reality tv, but it's the farthest thing from it. these kids are lazy, spoiled and have no real discipline from there own parants. It's basically a show about trash. Do any of these kids have health insurance? do they live in there own homes and work full-time jobs. It's really sad and since then I choose not to watch mtv anymore for producing such a horrible show.

I know some people might say that because, she is young she doesn't know any better even though she is only 19 she is a mom of a child. She is a dam fool why would you have sex with a guy that you had to put on child support in order for him to help you. Then to get on t.v and say that he gave you STD. I really do hope that one day she will learn from her mistakes and be a good mom to her son. I don't think that a lot of young people realize or maybe they just don't give a dam, but stuff like that follows you around your whole life. Hopefully after watching the show and she see how stupid she was, maybe it will change her life for the better.

for everyone pushing abstinence until marriage, and for everyone who says it wouldn't have happened if she wouldn't have had sex before marriage, it's true that she wouldn't have become a "teen mom" but getting married does not change one's personality...she cheated on her boyfriend with another man and contracted an STD because she did not use a condom, even AFTER he told her he's been with 6 other people. this was HER decision and HER behavior, and i have no reason to think it would change if she went by the title "Mrs." instead of "Ms."

I bet you she's also receiving welfare along with antibiotics. What's with these people and their illegitimate children? Male or female, they're both low class idiots!
      • ThisFieldisMandatory 3 months ago
marriage is largely a religious institution and you don't have to be married or religious in order to be good parents. what you do need to be is responsible. and she's probably not on welfare anymore because she's on a TV show, so i'm sure they pay her at least a few thousand per episode.
      • Harry Groinalarea 3 months ago
darth...low class ? how about NO CLASS.
      • Joseph 3 months ago
She sure is Darth. They all are. But since I have a job and responsible, I can't get any assistance, get financial aid for school or can afford health insurance. This country rewards the lazy.

    • 2manypetz  •  3 months ago
Isn't it funny how the girls are judged so harshly? Those boys (most of them) bail as fast as humanly possible when that baby arrives. Hello!!!!!!! Males are just as responsible for birth control as the females are. Anyone that watches this show knows the way Jo treated Kailyn right from the beginning. He was hostile when his parents moved her into the home. I think she had this fantasy of having a family......something she didn't have herself..for her son. This is probably the only reason she had sex with Jo because he is nasty. Hopefully she comes her senses now that its out of her system. Lord help these idiot girls for the choices they make.

I can't even understand why they put these idiots on tv? They're nothing but a bunch of
losers. It makes me wonder what are the parents teaching their kids, it's ok to get pregnant
& have a baby & if you can't afford to raise the child.....you can get Welfare. I think if these
kids are irresponsible to get pregnant, why not have the parents pay for their children's kids upbringing as well.
Working is hard enough to raise a family.... I don't think they need to be supported by tax
payers for being stupid. I call them: Future Welfare Recipients in America!

I don't think, as one commenter states, that this girl had a lot of courage to come forth with this confession. I listen to young girls and they seem to be bragging about all the sexual encounters they have. It is such a shame that these girls have no idea what they are doing at such young age. They have thrown away such a special time in their lives.
    • ThisFieldisMandatory  •  3 months ago
and to think there was once a time when if you got pregnant before you were ready, you dealt with it and usually got some help from your family. you didn't get to be the star of your own TV show, be asked for interviews, do talk shows, and have people discussing your life like you're a soap opera character. i'm not old but i remember a time when if you wanted money, you had to get a job, and if you wanted to be famous, you had to have some kind of talent and do a lot of work to keep audiences interested in you. now i see that we can get PAID for cheating on our significant other and contracting an STD. and people say america has no jobs....

how did these underage teens even get ON this TV show? did MTV go to a random town and pick the first 5 pregnant teens they saw? or did they hold "auditions" for teens who had to be or get pregnant to qualify?

Oh, my gosh, I can't believe people are defending this behavior! Are you kidding me, the mere fact that they are on tv airing their dirty laundry to the world, makes them trashy, I know that kids are having sex and people in their 30's make mistakes like this. But first all, the people in their 30's doing stuff like this, I bet you anything they were just like this when they were in their teen's (they just never grow-up), Second, don't commend or praise this behavior in anyway, it would be one thing if they were actually doing this because they really hope they, could inspire someone to not be like them. No they are doing it because they are getting attention and money. Don't sugar coat this, these people are getting paid, to be like this, they get more money the more outrageous they are. Plus, this was in no an accident, "sex in the shower" never just happens and if the guy that she cheated on is buying that, then he's dumber than dirt. Sex in the shower is and will always be premeditated, no one just happens to have sex in the shower, showering is a one person job, when 2 people are in the shower with an attraction for each other, it's never about getting clean, both parties know what's up. And having unprotected sex again, when you are filming a show about what happens when you have unprotected sex, is just shows how irresponsible, they both, MTV should kick them off the show.
