The Weinstein Company's multi-platform label RADiUS has acquired "Concussion," Stacie Passon's movie about a married lesbian who becomes a prostitute after a serious head injury.
The film, which premiered Saturday at Sundance, is one of the most provocative films in a year filled with tales of promiscuity, sexual addiction and other scintillating fare.

Though a movie about a lesbian prostitute, it is not overtly sexual or smutty. It focuses more on the holes in Abby's life that prompt her decision and the pleasure she takes in her new work.
Robin Weigert stars as Abby while Maggie Siff also stars. Passon wrote and directed the film, which is her feature debut.
RADiUS paid seven figures for the project, which it plans to release in the fall. Paradigm brokered the deal, which marked the second acquisition of Sundance for RADiUS. It also bought "Twenty Feet From Stardom."
