"Skyfall" and "Game of Thrones" got the 19th Screen Actors Guild Awards rolling on Sunday night, picking up honors for their stunt teams before the show even officially started.
This year's SAG Awards for Outstanding Action Performances by Film and Television Stunt Ensemble were announced from the red carpet by Awards Committee Chair JoBeth Williams ("Poltergeist") and Awards Committee Member Scott Bakula ("Men of a Certain Age").
The show officially starts at 8 p.m. (ET) / 5 p.m. (PT).
To nab its prize "Skyfall"s' stuntmen and women beat out some explosion and fight scene heavy rivals, a group that included "The Dark Knight Rises," "The Bourne Legacy" and "The Amazing Spider-Man," as well as one battle scene intensive musical, "Les Misérables."
On the television front, the stunt ensemble behind "Game of Thrones" bested "Boardwalk Empire," "The Walking Dead," "Sons of Anarchy" and "Breaking Bad."
