Schwarzenegger joins Stallone in 'The Tomb'

LOS ANGELES (AP) — It's an action superstar reunion: Arnold Schwarzenegger is joining Sylvester Stallone for the thriller "The Tomb."

The filmmakers announced Wednesday that Schwarzenegger signed on to star alongside Stallone in the prison-break adventure.

Schwarzenegger previously had a cameo in Stallone's action hit "The Expendables" and also appears in its upcoming sequel.

"The Tomb" will feature Schwarzenegger as an inmate opposite Stallone, who plays the designer of a master prison forced to escape from his own jailhouse. Directed by Mikael Hafstrom, "The Tomb" begins shooting in Louisiana this spring.

Schwarzenegger is just finishing work on "The Last Stand," his first starring role since returning to acting after serving as California's governor.

I believe he needs the work. Find a psycho role...he's good at them.

You know I can't understand why so many people are hating on Stallone and Arnold. Between the two of them they gave us AWESOME movies like Rocky, Rambo, The Terminator, Commando and a sh--load more. People if you think they are too old to make movies I'd hate to hear what you have to say about Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren or Morgan Freeman. Arnie cheated on his frankenstien looking wife and is paying for it. Get over it! Move on! His personal life has no bearing on his movie career. As for Stallone, he's in better shape than most men 1/2 his age. You can use steroids but they would still be useless without the dedication of excersise. Plus Stallone has always been a class act. Can you name any other Hollywood director who goes out of his way to give blacklisted actors a chance to make movies (Mickey Roarke) ?

Every actor you mentioned (Hopkins, Mirren and Freeman) play age appropriate roles. Thus doing well. Every movie you listed for Arnold and Sly are all 20 plus years old. And here they are trying to play super hero types at 65 years old. Sorry, but not buying it.

"Awesome Movies like Rambo, Commando and Rocky" yeah that's a good one, ever considered a career in stand up.

These two should have made a movie together long time ago. If they craft things right they could become an action hero duo. Make them two aging FBI agent partners. Stallone as the straight guy and Arnold as the funny one. The two can hate each other. COnsctruct a really good first one and then they could make a whole series of these movies. Basically just redo Lethal Weapon.
