Entertainment and tech public relations agency Beck Media & Marketing has acquired competitor Insignia Public Relations, the company announced on Thursday.
The two companies will merge, with Insignia founder Eddie Michaels bringing his Rolodex to the Santa Monica-based firm founded by Todd Beck.
"Eddie brings top-level client relationships at a number of great companies, impeccable PR skills and particularly deep experience promoting filmmakers," Beck said in a statement. "He's a proven leader with a great reputation in the industry, and I know he will fit into our existing team seamlessly as we continue to grow."
Over the 20 years, Michaels has represented clients including Illumination Entertainment, Bento Box Entertainment, directors Jonathan Mostow and Andy Tennant and actors Noah Wyle and Lou Diamond Phillips.
"As my clients have found ever greater success and growth in their businesses, I knew I needed a first-class infrastructure to support my continued work on their behalf," he said in the statement.
Founded in 2000, Beck Media represents television networks, studios, producers and nonprofits with ties to entertainment and digital media. Combined with Insignia, it will also list independent feature film companies and financiers as clients.
