    The 30-year-old daughter of Vice President Joe Biden married Dr. Howard Krein, 45, on Saturday in Wilmington, Delaware.

    "We are pleased to announce that our daughter, Ashley Blazer Biden, married Dr. Howard Krein this evening in Wilmington, Delaware, the Vice President Joe and Dr. Jill Biden said in a statement from the Vice President's office to Us Weekly. "The private ceremony was attended by the bride and groom's close family and friends. We're happy to welcome Howard into our family, and we wish them all the best in their new life together."

    Ashley wore an ivory silk Vera Wang mermaid gown with her hair down and a long lace veil. Krein matched his bride's bouquet by wearing a lavender tie. The happy couple gave big smiles as they posed for photos in front of a gorgeous country setting.

    Dr. Krein, a physician specializing in Otalaryngology and Facial and Reconstructive Surgery, proposed in September 2011 after dating for a little over a year.
