Paul McCartney: 'I Have Been Hacked'

Paul McCartney says that he expects to speak with British authorities soon about phone hacking by British tabloids. While promoting The Love We Make, a documentary about his experiences after 9/11 at a press junket yesterday, the Beatles legend told reporters "Apparently, I have been hacked."

McCartney would not say which newspaper he believed had illegally accessed his phones, but the singer's ex-wife Heather Mills recently told the BBC that she had learned from an insider that the Daily Mirror had been listening to her phone messages. McCartney said that the hacking is "a horrendous violation of privacy" and that the crooked journalistic practice has "been going on a long time, and I do think more people than we know knew about it."
