    ‘Modern Family,’ Jerry Bruckheimer’s ‘Chase’ in RTL Nitro Line-Up

    COLOGNE, Germany – RTL Group, Europe’s largest broadcaster, will launch a new free-TV network in Germany April 1.

    The new niche channel, dubbed RTL Nitro, will specialize in U.S. programming and include shows such as ABC’s Emmy-winner Modern Family, Showtime’s Nurse Jackie and Jerry Bruckheimer-produced actioner Chase, which airs on NBC stateside.

    Other highlights include Kiefer Sutherland-starrer 24 and BBC’s original The Office sitcom with Ricky Gervais as well as feature films and library product from RTL’s back catalogue.

    The channel will initially go up on digital satellite in Germany as well as via a VOD service online.
