    LL Cool J Takes Down Burglar in His Own Home

    LL Cool J was the star of a real-life action scene Wednesday morning.

    According to KABC, the 44-year-old NCIS: Los Angeles actor was able to take down an intruder in his own Los Angeles-area home. Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that around 2 a.m. a man broke into the rapper's home. After hearing a noise, the star (real name: James Todd Smith) went downstairs to find the intruder.

    LL managed to overpower the man and hold onto him until police arrived. The suspect now faces burglary charges.

    Fortunately, no one was injured. The burglar did, however, suffer some bruises after LL apprehended him.

    "LL Cool J, and his family, are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern," the star's spokesman, Rhett Usry, said in a statement via Reuters. "As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter."
