Joely Richardson has joined the cast of Universal’s “Endless Love” starring Alex Pettyfer and Gabriella Wilde.
Bruce Greenwood also stars with Shana Feste helming the pic.
Scott Stuber and Pamela Abdy of Bluegrass Films and Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage from Fake Empire will produce. Tracy Falco and J. Miles Dale will executive produce.
It’s unclear how closely the new pic will follow the 1979 Scott Spencer book or the 1981 Brooke Shields movie. Studio has dated the film for Feb. 14, 2014.
Feste re-wrote the script, which was originally penned by Josh Safran. Universal’s VP of production Kristin Lowe and creative exec Chloe Yellin will oversee “Endless Love” for the studio.
Richardson appears in Lionsgate’s upcoming “Thanks For Sharing” and appeared last year in “Red Lights.” She is repped by ICM Partners, the Schiff Company and Ken McReddie Associates.
