Jim Carrey is coming aboard to star in Loomis Fargo, an action-comedy about the heist of a $17 million armored car that is in development at Relativity Media.
Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) is directing, with Lorne Michaels and John Goldwin producing. The script was worked on by Danny McBride and Jody Hill, who started with an original draft by Up All Night creator Emily Spivey. The most recent version is by Chris Spillman and Hubbel Palmer, who worked on the Napoleon Dynamite television show.
Relativity hasn't set the financing of the $30 million-budgeted feature. Megan Ellison's Annapurna Pictures could come aboard to back the project, and her international sales outfit Panorama will likely take foreign rights.
