Jackie Chan’s Son Jaycee Jailed In China On Drug Offenses

HONG KONG – Jaycee Chan, the 32-year-old son of superstar Jackie Chan, was Friday jailed by a Beijing court on drug offenses.

The Dongcheng District People’s Court ordered Chan to spend six months in jail and to pay a RMB2000 fine for accommodating drug users.

He was caught in August in possession of 118 grams of marijuana and found to have accommodated Taiwan actor Kai Ko and Hong Kong actress Alice Li at his home in Beijing.

China has been leading a public operation against celebrities who engage in immoral activities and has been making an example of them to the wider public.

Jaycee Chan’s relatively light sentence reflected a confession to the crimes and good behaviour since.
