    Hollywood movie events in Los Angeles June 8-14, 2012

    Hollywood movie events this week include two red carpet premieres, for "Rock of Ages" starring Tom Cruise and Woody Allen's "To Rome With Love"; a tribute to comedian Jack Oakie; appearances by Kirk Douglas, Jane Fonda, Pat Boone, and others at special screenings; and so much more.

    The red carpet premiere of "Rock of Ages" (2012) takes place at 5:00 p.m. at Grauman's Chinese. Anyone may watch the stars arrive for free.

    Jane Fonda will present "Peace, Love & Misunderstanding" (2012) at the Landmark at 10850 West Pico tonight and June 9 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $12.50.

    "Frankenstein" (1931) and "The Mummy" (1932) will air at the Billy Wilder at 10899 Wilshire at 7:30 p.m. to celebrate Universal Pictures' centennial. The double feature costs $10.00. Film historian James Curtis will appear.

    The first two James Bond flicks, "Dr. No" (1962) and "From Russia With Love" (1963), screen at the Egyptian at 7:30 p.m. to kick off its "007 at 50: The Complete James Bond Retrospective" at 6712 Hollywood Blvd. Tickets are $11.00.

    A new print of "The Graduate" (1967) airs with "The Producers" (1967) at the New Beverly at 7165 Beverly Blvd. at 7:30 p.m. The double feature costs $8.00.

    "The Incredible Shrinking Man" (1957) and "To Kill a Mockingbird" (1962) will screen at the Billy Wilder at 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively, to celebrate 100 years of Universal Pictures. Tickets are $10.00 for each event.

    "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (1984) screens at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery at 6000 Santa Monica Blvd. at dusk. Bring blankets and a picnic dinner. Tickets are $10.00.

    The Devil's Night Drive In presents "Dazed and Confused" (1993) at dusk on the rooftop of 240 W. Broadway in downtown L.A. Admission is $10.00.

    Street Food Cinema will screen "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" (2005) on the lawn outside the Coliseum at 700 Exposition Park Drive at dusk for $10.00.

    "Imitation of Life" (1934) and "Little Man, What Now?" (1934) will screen at the Billy Wilder. Actress Marilyn Knowlden will appear. The double feature costs $10.00.

    Actor Roddy Piper will appear for a screening of "They Live" (1988) at the New Beverly at 3:30 p.m. Admission is $8.00.

    At 7:30 p.m., the New Beverly presents Clive Barker's "Night Breed: The Cabal Cut." Mark Miller and Russell Cherrington, the creators of the extended version of the 1990 film, will appear. Tickets are $8.00.

    Crooner Pat Boone will appear at the Egyptian for the 50th anniversary screening of "State Fair" (1962) at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $11.00.

    The Hollywood Heritage Museum hosts a tribute to Jack Oakie at the Lasky-DeMille Barn at 2100 N. Highland at 7:30 p.m. The musical "Hitting a New High" (1937) will screen, and representatives from the actor's estate will appear. Admission is $10.00.

    "Little Darlings" (1980) airs at the Downtown Independent as part of Outfest's "Downtown 30" series. Tickets are $10.00.
