For some reason, Max Greenfield ("The New Girl") and Paul Scheer ("The League") did a near-exact reenactment of a classic Vanilla Ice and Arsenio Hall interview.
The video, which hit the web Wednesday, is only modestly more awkward and ridiculous than the original.
The motivation behind the spoof was probably just so Greenfield could wear a ridiculous American/British flag leather jacket and a streak in his hair.
The interview, during which Ice doesn't make a heck of a lot of sense while constantly dabbing at his brow, is below in both spoof and original form. Ice spends most of it defending his claim that he's not a fraud.
Spoiler alert: He was. A big one.

Here's the original. Which outfit is worse, Greenfield's or the real deal?
The "Arsenio Hall Show," a daily one-hour, nationally syndicated late-night talk show, debuts on Sep. 9, 2013.
"The Vanilla Ice Project" is on the DIY network. The rapper also recently performed his old hits for one night in Chicago with New Kids on the Block.
