Former Legendary TV chief Jeremy Elice has landed at Starz.
Elice has inked a two-year first look cable deal at the premium network, through his newly launched production company, appropriately titled Elice Island Entertainment.
The move comes some four months after news first surfaced that Legendary was proactively pulling the plug on its one and a half year old deal with Warner Bros. Television, thereby shutting down its TV division. Lauren Ruggier, who worked under Elice at Legendary, is set to join him as a creative exec at Elice Island.
Prior to Elice's stint at Legendary, where he ran the feature film company's day to day TV activities, he was a rising star at AMC. When he arrived atthe cable network in early 2006, AMC was not yet a destination for acclaimed scripted originals. Elice, who once appeared on The Hollywood Reporter's Next Gen list, was intricately involved in the development of some of AMC's earliest darlings, including Breaking Bad.
Elice is repped by Ginsburg Daniels.
