    Former Fleetwood Mac Member Bob Welch Commits Suicide

    Bob Welch, a onetime guitarist and vocalist for the rock band Fleetwood Mac, was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in his Nashville home on Thursday, Nashville ABC affiliate WKRN-TV reports. He was 66.

    Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron told the station that Welch was found by his wife shortly before noon, and that the musician had left a suicide note. According to Aaron, Welch had recently been suffering health woes.

    Welch played with Fleetwood Mac from 1971 to 1974. The band would later shoot into the stratosphere of the music industry with mega-selling albums such as "Rumours" and "Tusk."

    Welch had a moderately successful solo career in the late '70s with hits such as "Sentimental Lady" and "Ebony Eyes."
