Funnyman Will Ferrell has topped Forbes' annual list of most overpaid stars.

The comedian, who was once riding high with a series of hit films including "Elf" and "Talladega Nights," has recently taken a dive with box office bombs such as "Semi-Pro" and "Land of the Lost."

Looks like "Land of the Lost" has earned star Will Ferrell the dubious distinction of being the most overpaid actor in show business, according to the list makers at Forbes magazine.

Forbes looked at 100 top actors based on their widely released films over the past five years. It factored in the production costs of those movies against how much boxoffice, DVD and other revenue they generated in order to come with an operating income for each film, which it then compared with the salaries the stars earned.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Getting his project cast and financed was not the hard part for Grant Heslov.

His feature directing debut, "The Men Who Stare at Goats," starring George Clooney, opened Friday via Overture Films and earned a respectable $13.3 million during its first three days.
