Paramount has announced the wide release date for the sequel to the 2004 Will Ferrell-starring comedy: December 20, 2013. Anchorman: The Legend Continues brings back Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner and was announced in March. Paramount took over from DreamWorks, which did the first film, after DreamWorks departed the studio. Anchorman 2 will be produced under Judd Apatow’s banner with Ferrell’s and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions.
