It definitely should this year. This was quite possibly the shortest 2 1/2 hours of my life. This movie had everything. Explosions, drama, twists everything you have come to expect from Christopher Nolan. This man is storyteller first and a filmmaker second.
Everyone deserves praise for this film. Each role was played pitch perfect.
Heath Ledger was awesome he played an amazing villain. You don't find yourself sitting there saying "I wonder where this guy came from?". You just know that this guy is a lunatic and you personally want to kick the crap out of him.
Long story short, I would suggest seeing it once to get your initial geek-out out of the way then go back and let yourself be immersed in all the plot filled goodness. You will clap at least three or four times and you will find yourself wanting more. |
