Clive Owen And Julia Roberts are very entertaining together. Granted they are not the pimply faced young angst ridden tweenie heroes that the earliest reviewers must adore.
(My jaundiced view of those reviews are that they are competitive placements by another movie opening today that appeals to the brainless...Man.)
The story is told in a revealing way that does require reading, another skill set apparently missing from the earliest reviewers given their telltale writing (loosely interpreted) styles.
Anyway there are plenty of scene changes, beautiful settings and a fairly fast pace. It lasted two hours but covered the ground in seemingly less.
If you enjoy the type of movie that replaces explosions with ingenious dialog, this movie will go a long way in providing that pleasure. |
