Anti-Climactic

This is a good enough film, but with a very anti-climactic ending that doesn't seem to fit the rest of the movie. The movie was advertised as a suspenseful triller. It moves a little slow at points, but gets the job done in that genre. The story even gets pretty interesting. Unfortunately, the ending doesn't seem to match the film and leaves you with a sense of futility. I asked myself why did I take this journey with a character only to end up with no point to his actions? If they were trying to make a point about futility, a different genre would have made the point better.
The movie? Pretty good. The ending? Not so much. It just leaves you feeling somewhat deflated. |
