Grand Grand Torino:
Just when you think Clint Eastwood couldn’t deliver another film that could surprise an audience, BAM. This is what the film "Crash" wanted to be. Outside a few minor continuity miscues this film doesn’t make mistakes. All those who are interested in film making, I implore you to study this film. It is a story simply told and simply told well. Mr. Eastwood brings so much to this film and has a down to earth populist discussion with and about them. Immigration, true love, trust, the value of our aged and how they are perceived by the younger generations and visa versa, domestic made materials vs. foreign made items, family, religion, language and how we communicate young and old, violence, wealth and poverty, and the list goes on; and he does this with clarity. And yet there is nothing ambiguous in this film.
The only thing one can say in regard to this film is to say to Clint Eastwood, Thank You. |
